[movies]Castle of Dragon (NES) - 07:00 (US version, emulated speedrun) - Josh Ballard (aka. FunkDOC)
Notes from author: Here's another childhood game of mine, done in timeattack form. Meant to submit this back when FCEU first became accepted, but never got around to it until now... This is one of the most frustratingly random NES games ever, along with its quasi-sequel Sword Master (which I will also submit eventually, after I make another improved version). It took me 7 versions of this thing to get it to where I want (well, the early levels weren't hard to get down, but the later ones sure we...

[movies]Donkey Kong (NES) - 01:18 (World version, emulated speedrun) - Phil Côté
Donkey Kong is a classic game that has been challenged plenty of times at this site, by many players. The author of this movie manipulates luck so that Mister Jumpman (who later became Mario) never needs to jump over, wait for, or otherwise evade deadly objects. Note: Previously, every attempt at this game had been rejected ― either because the movies had been imperfect or just because the game is too simple...

The previous author (Morimoto) wasted some time before pressing start and before ending his movie, but even if not counting that, this movie is ~77 frames faster than the previous version. The valiant knight Kuros, who has now grown eyeballs on the outside of his helmet, must again fight off the evil wizard Malkil. This task is accomplished mainly by finding an artifact in every level, giving it to a corresponding oversized animal to get into the level boss' lair, and promptly beating him up.

After all, he's the hero, and heroes are supposed to be invincible. In just a month after making the awesome 9:32 Batman movie, Jecy has found ways to improve the time by another 8 seconds! A storybook game like Shadowgate and Uninvited. In this one you star as Ace Harding, a detective who wakes up having no idea who or where he is. As the game progresses you discover that you have been framed for a crime you didn't commit, and must find a way to clear your name. Hey all, here's my improved (12 seconds faster than v1) timeattack for this semi-famous NES game, using FCE Ultra. This is known as one of the shortest games for this system, and I believe that this would be the third-shortest full-game completion of an NES game on this site if it is accepted (only Friday the 13th and Atlantis no Nazo would beat this, and the latter uses warps). Anyway, it's actually kind of tough to keep moving forward as much as I do in the movie due to the game's horrible con...

[movies]Donkey Kong Jr. (NES) - 01:13 (World version, emulated speedrun) - Ferret Warlord

I use normal to avoid violating the no-passwords rule, and because the higher difficulties require more hack-and-slash and I think would make for less entertaining runs.
